Where to Ride
There are plenty of great places for the kids to safely ride their bikes. The 'Where to Ride Sydney' book details 97 children's rides in the Sydney metropolitan area.
For the locals, here are a couple of places that are easy to find:
Balmoral Beach, Mosman
What: A flat circular bike track located in a local reserve.
Where: The park is at the southern end of the 'The Esplanade'.
How to get there: Via Military Road and Raglan Street from Mosman.
Amenities: Large parking area; Beach; Skate ramp; play area; toilets.
Brightmore Reserve, Cremorne
What: A purpose built children's cycle track.
Where: The reserve is located on Young Street, Cremorne, adjacent to Primrose Park and Willoughby Bay.
How to get there: Via Military Road and Young Street from Cremorne.
Amenities: Large parking area; Toilets nearby at Primrose Park.
Bicentennial Reserve, Northbridge
What: A purpose builts children's cycle track adjacent to main bike path network.
Where: Park at the Willoughby Leisure Centre, accessed from Small Street, Willoughby. Follow the bike path a short way to Flat Rock Gully Reserve.
How to get there: Via Small Street which runs off Artarmon Road, Northbridge.
Amenities: Large parking area; Toilets; Play area.
Note: The netball courts at the Willoughby Leisure Centre are also a popular spot for children to ride their bikes.
